when i launch following code it displays axes instead of Text.. kindly sort this out

when i run the code and i want text line to be written but GUI shows an axes

text() always has to appear within an axes. You can set the borders of the axes to not display by using
axes off
but that will not cause it to not be visible.
If you want text outside of any axes, then you need to use uicontrol('style', 'text')
