Problem in image acquisition

Hello evryone..currently i am facing a strange problem with the image acquisition toolbox. Whenever i try to acquire an image and click on start acquisition the image gets captured and immediately a black error window appears and instantly vanishes and matlab closes itself. This is happening evrytime i try to acquire an image. Why this is happening?? Is there any solution to it?? Thanks in advance!

Are you using a supported camera? Have you installed all the necessary drivers? What version of MATLAB are you using?

The version of matlab is 7.12.0(R2011a). And i am using a USB camera n its drivers are installed. The problem occurs only with matlab otherwise the camera is all ok.

When you use IMAQHWINFO, do the camera and drivers show up?
