How to perform 1/3 octave band filtering !!

Hey all,

I have been stuck on this for a week now so i decided to ask the question here

Please help me asap.

I have two rows of data Freq (Hz) Vs SPL(dB) I want to perform 1/3 octave band filtering for it.

How do i perform this in matlab, I had a look at this http://www.mathworks.co.uk/help/dsp/examples/octave-band-and-fractional-octave-band-filters.html

and tried several things but nothing worked

So please guide me this is my last resort can some on help me
