Kinect near mode problem on matlab

Dear all,

I'm working on kinect on Matlab, it work well but i need to let it work in near mode i do the following

    % Create the object for the depth sensor
    vid = videoinput('kinect',2);
    src = vid.Source;
    src.DepthMode='Near';

then use preview command

    preview (vid);

matlab give error: matlab can not open depth sensor

if any any body can help i will thankful for you

if you are using kinect for xbox 360, the near mode, and the IR stream wont be available, i think that those features are reserved for the kinect for windows v1
