Converting String Vector in C++ to mxArray in Matlab

can anyone tell me how do I convert a string vector which I have in c++ to its corresponding data type mxArray in matlab?> I am trying to plot a graph and I did the conversion from double for my y axis, I have string variables on my X-axis and I am unable to convert that to mxArray.
for eg vector<string>date; I have a few dates in the date vector which have been passed. now I want to convert this whole string vector to mxArray.
Help will be appreciated.
