Wavelet transform for matlab

I want to save the synthesized image that have been gotten after wavelet transform in JPEG format. Any one, please help me by giving some instruction how to save the image in JPEG FORMAT.

imwrite() can save an image in .jpg format. Keep in mind JPEG2000 uses wavelet compression.
