Flux Source block

To add a block to a model, double-click the canvas and start typing the block name. Then, select the block from the list.

Description

The Flux Source block represents an ideal flux source that is powerful enough to maintain specified constant flux through it, regardless of the magnetomotive force (mmf) across its terminals.

You specify the output flux by using the Constant flux parameter. The flux can be positive, negative, or zero.

The arrow on the block icon indicates the positive direction of the flux flow.

Ports

Conserving

N — North terminal

magnetic

Magnetic conserving port associated with the north terminal.

S — South terminal

magnetic

Magnetic conserving port associated with the south terminal.

Parameters

Constant flux — Output flux

0.001 Wb (default) | scalar

Flux output by the source.
