Does Macbook Air M1 is well-oprimized MATLAB?

hello guys,

I am a student who is willing to buy new MacBook air with M1 Chip,8GB Ram, and 256GB SSD!

so my question is, Does MATLAB optimized to the new Apple Chip M1?

if yes, it's ok! if Not, what I supposed to do?

The reports I am seeing is that it is already decently fast even in emulation, and is expected to get faster as more of it goes native.

However, people have been reporting freezes under the newest Big Sur, that make important parts of the software nearly unusable. It is recommended against until that gets fixed.

Within the last few days someone mentioned that some of the problems they had were solved by MATLAB R2021a Update 3. However it is too early for other people to have said whether their difficulties were fixed.
