How can I get rid of stdafx.h error when compiling C++ with mex in matlab?

Hi there,

I am trying to compile a C++ code with mex but am unable to compile it successfully . Reading some related blogs, I installed both Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express and Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) 7.1 but still it's giving this error:

>>>> facePart.cpp(5) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'stdafx.h': No such file or directory

Anyone can help me figure out the problem please...?

I am using a 64-bit Windows Platform with matlab version 2011a...

By the way, after typing mex -setup, it gives me something like this: Please choose your compiler for building MEX-files:

Do you have 'stdafx.h' #include'd in facePart.cpp at line#5? It appears that this is an automatically generated header when compiling as a Visual Studio project.

Is 'stdafx.h' in your current directory? In fact, is all the source code and include files in your current directory?

that's another problem I was facing actually. I'm new to this and so When i got this error, I tried searching where stdafx.h is located in my pc but it doesn't seem to exist. As to the source code, include, and lib files, i issued lines of commands to specify the path. it's something like this:

OCVRoot = 'c:\opencv\build'; IPath =-Ic:\opencv\build\include; OCVRoot ='c:\opencv\build\X86\VC10'; LPath = fullfile(OCVRoot, 'lib'); lib1 = fullfile(LPath,'opencv_imgproc244d.lib'); lib2 = fullfile(LPath,'opencv_core244d.lib'); lib3 = fullfile(LPath,'opencv_highgui244d.lib'); mex('facePart.cpp', IPath, lib1, lib2, lib3);

..which is logically similar to what I manually did when compiling my the code in Visual Studio c++ ide, with precompiled header checkbox checked and it worked well.
