is reconstruction possible from tampered image ?

hi friends! is any possibility to reconstruct the image from tampered image. i have done the detection of tampered images and display process of tampered regions. i want to separate the tampered portion from the original image. is it possible? if yes means, how to do that?. pls give a suggestion.

MATLAB imports images as a 3-dimensional array. Depending on image coding though. You can either replace the tampered portions with zeroes to make it black or you create a new variable and reduce the dimension of the image array to cut out the tampered area. But this will be difficult if the tampered areas are disperse all over the image. I hope this answers your question.
