Setting up Java Environment

could anyone help me, please. I would like to use the JA builder in R2010b version. First, I already set up JAVA_HOME with this path C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17
got this getenv JAVA_HOME
ans =
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17
However,
>> java -version ??? Attempt to execute SCRIPT java as a function: C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2010b\toolbox\matlab\general\java.m
does anyone know what could be the problem?

I believe the right command is:
>> version -java
"java -version" can be executed a system command:
>> !java -version
