how to enable rotate3d for guide axes?

how do I rotate 3d a graph drawn in axes pane in a GUIDE figure?

Use the command:

rotated3d on

After the code that plots the surf.

the thing is, I also have a datacursor on; so user needs to be able to toggle datacursor and rotate3d

Use a keypressfcn callback to detect the user pressing a keyboard key to request toggling between them.
