Difference between pdf function plot and histfit plot

Dear Matlab Com. Contributors,

I am having an issue I need to fully understand.

I am recording the acceleration data-based time domain from the vehicle and then I am getting the velocity by integrating the acceleration.

I am trying to plot the PDF for the velocity profile, thus I have used the pdf function based on normal pdf mode. The plotted probability vs the velocity data is given in the left side plotted figure. When using the histfit plot with normal pdf mode, the right-sided figure is plotted.

I noted some differences like the Y-axis values are different and the velocity max and min peaks are different.

I don't really understand what is the difference and what should I use in my paper.
