how to display image circular

hello, i would like to display my png image in guide in a circular form. Do i need to change the axes properties, or do i need to change something about my image beforehand? in the end it needs to be a round image that is also manually "zoomable", by using the mouse (drag n drop). I hope you can help me, thank you.

MATLAB cannot handle circular axes. Images for display must be rectangular. However, you can control the transparency of pixels in the image and make the ones outside the circle transparent.

Do you know if it would be possible to have that circle be resizeable as well? With the mouse? I havnt figured out the code yet, except that i need to use >> alpha (0.5) help?
