Why do some products with hyphens (-) in their names not install silently?

When I select products for silent installation that have a hyphen in their product name (e.g. Fixed-Point Designer), it does not install. How do I work around this?

This issue occurs because of an error in the installer_input.txt file in the R2020a ISO download. There is an underscore (_) character that needs to be replaced with a hyphen character (-).

To work around this issue, open the input_installer.txt file, navigate to the desired product line, and change the underscore to a hyphen.

For example, if the product key shows as “product.Fixed_Point_Designer”, change the product line to “product.Fixed-Point_Designer”.

The product should now be able to be installed silently.
