Mouse callbacks not working for uifigure in 2017b version

I wanted to use some of the mouse callbacks like "windowbuttonmotion" fn for uifigure.I have gone through the documentation and understood that mouse callbacks are supported from 2018b version for uifigures.I am currently using 2017b version and can't update 2018b version as of now.
is there anyway to get mouse callbacks in 2017b verion itself for uifigure?Kindly help.
