Hi everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to install Matlab in a pendrive and run it from the pendrive every time I need to use it. I tried to do this but when I write the command ./install in the terminal, it tells me that such command can't be found. I also tried installing it in my computer directly but the installion always stops telling me I don't have enough room in the selected location (which also I don't really understand because my disk is practically empty).
My OS is Ubuntu 18.04.
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance,
Andrea.

Often pen drives mount in Linux with the no execute option.
Also it is not uncommon to need to
sudo sh ./install
My understanding is that on MS Windows it is not possible to install onto a pen drive for technical reasons, but I am not sure what they are. Also, I gather there is a portion of the MATLAB install procedure that really prefers to run on C: but can use D: if C: does not exist.
It is not possible to install MATLAB entirely into any kind of removal drive and then take it from system to system, to use it "portably". Some students have wanted to do that because they have to use lab computers or library computers that might not have MATLAB installed (or not with the right version, or not with the right toolboxes), so they have wanted to effectively license to the person and use with multiple systems. That is not possible with a Designated Computer license, or Standalone Named User license, only when using a license server or having enabled Login Named User on a professional or Academic license (and LNU is intended for a different purpose, having to do with cluster computing.)
