Matlab 10 trial R2019a won't open in Windows 10

Title says it all...installed the trial version of MatLab for my Windows 10 machine, and double clicking on the desktop icon results in nothing happening.

Is it possible that your Windows 10 system is 32 bit?

No - I am using the 64 bit version.
