Has anyone found a viable way to add cursor to a plot in App designer? (R2018b)

As title sugests, I have been looking for ways to add cursors to a plot in app designer. I understand that cursormode is not available as well as graphics objects. I was thinking about just adding a vertical line to the plot and making it interactable. Has anyone tried this? or found a better way.
