What is the difference between the MOSFET (Specialized Technology/fundamentals/power electronics) and the MOSFET (semiconductors/fundamental) (Simscape Components)?

I have made a DC-DC converter using blocks available in simpower systems. I am now now trying to make a DC-DC converter using blocks available in simscape foundation libraries. I am getting desired results from the simpower systems model while with foundation library model the output is not a desired one. The circuit is a simple buck converter.
  • I just want to understand the difference between the MOSFET available in both the libraries.
  • I also want to how to connect simpower system blocks with simscape foundation library blocks.

These are two different technologies. There is some overlap between the two technologies. In general Simscape components have the advantage that they can be integrated in multi-domain simulation. Depending what are the requirements of your application you can use one technology or another. I would not advise to mix the two technologies in the same model.
