When formatting the PC do i need the deactivate my MatLab license ?

When formatting the PC do i need the deactivate my MatLab license ? i plan to add another Hard Drive where the OS (win 7) will be installed, do i need to uninstall and reinstall MatLab? or to deactivate it?

I have the same question. I was wondering if someone from Mathworks is able to answer. I need to re-install my operating system (Ubuntu Linux) and was wondering if I should first de-activate my Matlab license, then re-activate it once my operating system re-installation is complete.
