Determining the response of the system to time-varying input in Simulink MATLAB

There are a number of ways you could apply this input signal. One simple way is to use the from workspace block, then use a script or command line to assign the values for your input in the workspace before running the simulation.

Here is a screenshot, I have also attached two files: 1) An example Simulink model, and 2) a script,you should run, before you run the model to assign the from workspace variable values.

Note, in my example model I just used a first order transfer function. You would of course use the transfer function you were actually interested in.
