Hi there, I'm trying the latest release of VDB, the UI of the Vitrual Vehicle Composer impressed me a lot. But when I try to use a variable form the workspace to configure the parameters, (for example, variable m for the vehicle mass) the parameter would then be set to 0 and a warning says that only numeric values are acceptable. Is this function still not available at the current verison?

Hello,
The Virtual Vehicle Composer (VVC) is a software tool developed by AVL that allows users to design and simulate vehicle powertrains. The Variable Data Base (VDB) is a component of VVC that allows users to define and manage variables that can be used to configure simulation models.
Regarding your question, it is possible to use variables from the workspace to configure VDB parameters in VVC. However, it is important to make sure that the variables are of the correct data type and have the correct format. For example, if you are trying to use a variable m to set the mass of a vehicle, make sure that the variable m is a numeric scalar and is expressed in the correct units (e.g., kilograms).
If you have confirmed that the variable m is of the correct data type and format, but VVC is still setting the parameter to 0 and displaying a warning, it is possible that there may be a bug or compatibility issue with the current version of VVC.

Thank you for your answer! Would you please provide an example of configuring a VDB parameter. I'm still having some trouble and I'm not sure whether it is a compatibility issue or I am following a wrong procedure.
For example, I have set a parameter "m" in the workspace:
Then I tried setting the weight in VVC as m:
And I got this message:
