Trouble installation MacBook, it loads then nothing

Hello,

I am having trouble installing mathlab to my brand new macbook air. I can install the files through safari as it is suppose to, but then when I go to install the program it loads for about 30 seconds and then it just stops and the symbol on the desktop goes away like nothing happened. How can I fix this issue? I´ve looked around but I cant seem to fin anyone with a similiar problem.

• system RAM
• The MATLAB version you are looking to install

Oh, sorry that was a rather unclear description. This is as far as I get. The icon that is marked (far down, middle) loads (you know when it moves up and down) for about 20 seconds then it just goes away and nothing happens. This is the step where I get stuck:)
