curve fitting tool is from which matlab version existing (built in Matlab) ? /on Windows system/ in older ML version is still can type and call ? :

It's been around for a very long time but requires the Curve Fitting Toolbox. If you can't find it, not having that toolbox installed is likely the culprit.
