EASY Question: How to find an element of a matrix?

Let's A = [1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10]; I want to have new matrix B, which is A from 1 to 7.

I tried the following:

B=A(1:A(A=7))

But it didn't work.

Oh, I need to access the value of that element in my main code. I just made a simple example.
