Issues with Raspberry Pi Firmware Update

I have been struggling to update the Raspberry pi firmware to run Simulink models on raspberry pi. Even after 100% download i keep getting this error - "Download failed: Download timeout error". If anyone has been able to update the firmware successfully then please guide me.

Do I need to run it as administrator while updating the firmware?
