Simulink Coder build operation for model

Description

The Build action parameter defines how Simulink® Coder™ responds when you press Ctrl+B or click Build Model to build your model.

Build, load, and run (default) | Build
Build, load, and run

With this option, pressing Ctrl+B or clicking Build Model:

  1. Generates code from the model

  2. Compiles and links the code into an executable with libraries

  3. Loads the executable and libraries into the Texas Instruments® Hercules RM57Lx Launchpad hardware board

  4. Runs the executable in the Texas Instruments Hercules RM57Lx Launchpad hardware board

Build

With this option, pressing Ctrl+B or clicking Build Model:

  1. Generates code from the model

  2. Compiles and links the code into an executable with libraries

This option does not load and run the executable on the Texas Instruments Hercules RM57Lx Launchpad hardware board.

Examples

  1. In the Simulink Editor, select Simulation > Model Configuration Parameters.

  2. In the Configuration Parameters dialog box, click Hardware Implementation.

  3. Set the Hardware board parameter to TI Hercules RM57Lx Launchpad and click Apply.

    The parameter values under Hardware board settings are automatically populated to their default values.

  4. From the Build options group, select a Build action from the drop down list and click Apply.

  5. Click OK to close the dialog box.
