Magnetic Reference block

To add a block to a model, double-click the canvas and start typing the block name. Then, select the block from the list.

Description

The Magnetic Reference block represents a reference point for all magnetic conserving ports. A model with magnetic elements must contain at least one Magnetic Reference block.

Permanent Magnet Attached to Iron Wall

Model the forces acting on a magnet that is attached to an iron wall. You can define the interaction between the magnetic and translational motion domains using a Permanent Magnet block and a Reluctance Force Actuator block.

Magnetic conserving port associated with the reference point for other blocks in a magnetic circuit.

The port name is not visible in the block icon, but you can see this name in the underlying source file by clicking the Source code link in the Description tab of the block dialog box.
