Optional Set Up for Scenario Generation

The Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox™ support package contains some features that require specific third-party software, including artificial intelligence (AI) models. The optional setup for the Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox interface enables you to interactively select, download, and install third-party software.

Note

Installation of third-party software and AI models using Scenario Builder optional setup requires the Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox support package. You can install the Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox support package from the Add-On Explorer. For more information about installing add-ons, see Get and Manage Add-Ons.

Launch Optional Set Up Interface

You can launch the optional setup interface for Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox support package using any of these options:

  • After you install the Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox support package add-on from the Add-On Explorer, a window opens from which you can launch the optional setup interface. Click Setup Now to launch the optional setup interface. To set up later, click Setup Later.

  • To launch the optional setup interface from the command line, enter scenariobuilderOptionalSetup in Command Window.

  • If you use any feature from Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox support package that requires a third-party software that is not installed, the feature gives an error. To launch the optional setup interface, navigate to the error message link in the Command Window.

Download and Install Third-Party Software

After you launch the optional setup interface, to download and install the third-party software, follow these steps.

  1. This figure shows the interactive interface to select the optional AI models to download and install. After you select your required models, click Next. Note that, when you select any model, the interface automatically includes the Python® software and PyTorch® library for installation.

  2. This figure shows the interface to download and install the third-party software, including the selected AI models. To install the third-party software and AI models, click Install. The setup can take time, depending on your system architecture and internet speed.

  3. Monitor the installation to ensure that User Account Control (UAC) permissions are granted successfully. For each successful installation, the Status column displays a green checkbox. This figure shows the successful installation of selected third-party software. To complete the installation, click Next.

  4. This figure shows the completion of successful installation. To complete installation, click Finish.

    Note

    Installing AI models using the Optional Setup for Scenario Builder for Automated Driving Toolbox support package is supported in Windows® and Linux® platforms.
