Software Engineering Manager
Anoush Najarian is a software engineering manager at MathWorks, where she leads a team focused on performance engineering. Passionate about making the tech community welcoming to everyone, Anoush co-coached teams of hundreds of speakers and power TAs, most of whom are women, to build technical workshops presented to thousands of participants around the world.
Performance on the Edge: Accelerating Embedded AI Model Optimization Through Automated Benchmarking and Profiling
Senior Performance Engineer
Helen Chigirinskaya is a senior performance engineer at MathWorks, focusing on benchmarking and performance analysis for AI workflows. Her work includes developing tools to facilitate benchmark development and automation for MATLAB and PyTorch for embedded AI, audio, and signal workflows, as well as PyTorch and ONNX importers. Her GHC25 talk is based on the paper of the same title, which she coauthored for ICPE ’25, the 16th ACM/SPEC International Conference on Performance Engineering. Helen is a dedicated technical expert who has supported world-class GHC workshops as a power TA for over five years. She recently presented her GHC24 workshop “Watt’s Up with Electric Vehicles?” to 1,400 participants across three time zones at MATLAB EXPO. Helen received her BA in computer science and biology from Cornell University.
