Join the MathWorks Finance team and develop a comprehensive understanding of the procure-to-pay process at a leading high-tech company.
In this role you will deepen your finance knowledge and your exposure to technology and systems, tax, project management, metrics, analysis / negotiation and contract management. This position offers hands-on experience, training, mentoring, and opportunities to collaborate with professionals across the organization—helping you build a strong foundation for a career in finance.
Verantwortlichkeiten
- Support US indirect sourcing and procurement, with a focus on technology hardware and software and professional services
- Partnering with stakeholders, develop a solid working knowledge of the products and services being purchased and ensure key business terms are properly reflected in contracts
- Lead supplier negotiations, working to ensure the proper value proposition is obtained with each contract
- Serve as the key liaison between Legal, stakeholders and suppliers to ensure contracts are finalized timely and accurately
- Prepare and monitor metrics to drive process improvement and track performance relative to procurement KPI’s
- Leverage technology to efficiently create, fulfill and close purchase orders, while ensuring that key accounting and tax details are captured for downstream reporting and payment activities
- Partnering with other members of the Finance team, maintain key supplier and contract data and work to resolve discrepancies
Mindestqualifikationen
- A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
- Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.

Zusätzliche Qualifikationen
- BS required with an accounting, finance, or business concentration
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Procurement role, preferably sourcing technology
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Excellent problem solving, customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience reviewing supplier contracts and negotiating business terms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Oracle Procurement is a plus
