You are a highly motivated student with a background in engineering or sciences and are passionate about research and artificial intelligence. You enjoy tackling technical problems and collaborating.

In collaboration with a renowned German research institution, MathWorks offers an internship. You will participate in a research project addressing current questions in astrophysics. The tasks focus on applying AI workflows to large scale image data.

Verantwortlichkeiten

  1. Collaborate with researchers on current research questions
  2. Apply machine and deep learning algorithms to large scale image data
  3. Resolve common issues with large scale image data and its processing, e.g. performance improvement, memory issues
  4. Integrate subprojects into the existing software development environment

Mindestqualifikationen

  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in Germany or be able to obtain work authorization with an internship offer.
  • Candidates must be pursuing a master's level or a PhD level degree.
  • Experience with Deep Learning
  • Experience with Technical computing

Zusätzliche Qualifikationen

  • Knowledge of technical programming language (e.g. MATLAB, Python)
  • Experience with image processing and computer vision
  • Experience with research software development
  • Experience with versioning systems (e.g., GIT or subversion)
  • Experience with parallel computing/GPU computing
  • German language skills
