This position can be located in Stuttgart otr Munich.


Providing technical pre-sales support to customers and guidance to our sales, development and marketing organization in the areas of rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop systems, by e.g.:

  • Delivering presentations and product demonstrations
  • Managing product evaluations in conjunction with Technical Sales of dedicated Speedgoat Target computer hardware
  • Supporting customers to successfully adopt and use Simulink Real-Time, helping to remove technical obstacles
  • Working with internal staff to identify business potential and coaching of Application Engineers

These responsibilities will be based on mastering:

  • Real-time-execution-specific Simulink modeling techniques
  • I/O and protocol interfaces at the software and hardware level
  • Automatic C and HDL code generation
  • Real-time kernel scheduling and synchronization including multi-core CPU and FPGA technology
  • Instrumentation and verification of real-time applications running on dedicated Speedgoat target computer hardware, connected to the customer’s physical system under test.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
  • Candidates for this position must hold a valid work permit in Germany.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel 25% to 50% of the time

Additional Qualifications

  • Solid hands-on experience with real-time simulation and testing solutions.
  • Experience with one or more of the following solutions is a plus, e.g.: Simulink Real-Time, dSPACE, Opal-RT, National Instruments VeriStand, Typhoon HIL.
  • Multi-year hands-on experience using MATLAB and Simulink for modeling, simulation and code generation (C/C++ and HDL).
  • Solid understanding of real-time concepts including software, hardware, modern I/O and protocol interfaces such as CAN, EtherCAT or FlexRay, is a plus.
  • Experience with Power Electronics and Motor Control applications is a plus.
  • Working with calibration and measurement engineering tools such as Vector CANape or ETAS INCA is a plus.
  • Business acumen, motivation to work directly with customers, communication skills and proficiency in the delivery of presentations.
  • Business fluent language skills in German and English (Additional European language is helpful).
