Simulink Control Design

Linearize models and design control systems

Simulink® Control Design™ lets you design and analyze plants and control systems modeled in Simulink and automatically tune PID controller gains to meet performance requirements. You can also find operating points and compute exact linearizations of Simulink models at various operating conditions. Simulink Control Design provides tools that let you compute simulation-based frequency responses without modifying your model. A graphical interface lets you design and analyze arbitrary control structures modeled in Simulink, including cascaded, prefilter, regulation, and multiloop architectures.

Operating Points

Find model operating point from specification (trimming) or simulation time, initialize model at operating point

Linearization

Linearize model, visualize linearized system characteristics during simulation

Frequency Response Estimation

Estimate frequency response, examine frequency-domain characteristics, validate linearization

Control Design

Tune PID controllers and other control architectures automatically or interactively, analyze control systems

Model Verification

Verify time- and frequency-domain characteristics of linearized models against specified bounds, verify subsystems
